Adding Guest Players

As part of MSL’s never ending quest to not only grow the league but we are also looking at ways to improve registration and payment for players and captains to join and rejoin.

We have just added an easy way to add “guest players” to sign up and accept a waiver for a one time game or just to try out the league. There are several ways that a guest player can be added. We created a simple sign a waiver upfront then pay the guest fee at the end via venmo or paypal or you can pay for the guest fee upfront and download the waiver, sign it, bring it to the field, or send by email. Either way, the new player once paid and has accepted waiver conditions will be a legal player on your team. This will eliminate the risk of any forfeitures should an opponent challenge a new player during or after a game.

Once we have been notified of the guest either paying or signing, we will add them to the team that they are signing up for. On the roster, it will be noted that they are signed up for a particular game only so if for some reason, we place them this weekend and they have paid, but play next weekend and are challenged it could pose a problem.  We are relying on the honor system for each player making sure that players that play are paid and have signed a waiver.  Once playoffs have started, new players and new substitutes will not be accepted so please make sure your roster is complete and that you have confirmed new players and they have paid for the season.  You can also take advantage of our offer for any new player who signs up and pays for FALL will be allowed to join a summer team and play out the remainder of the session free.

Speaking of FALL, Fall is now open and accepting registrations for returning teams and captain!! We have since updated our payment acceptance and processing platform and are now using PayPal which includes Venmo. You just need to visit our main site and not League Apps to register and pay.  We will continue to use League Apps for scheduling and playoffs till further notice and will supply links and pages to make it easy to discover the schedule and standings for your league.

We have also posted the $300 coupon/captains discount on the cart page, and the captain just enters the code to recieve a $300 discount when they purchase 15 or more players. 15 is the min for a complete roster.  There is an automatic $10 discount for individual players and free agents and an additional $5 off if you enter the coupon code. 

Part of the new 3rd party payment gateway also known as Paypal will offer registrants, players, and captains new payment options including Venmo, Credit Cards and to break the payment into 4. We are looking at other such as Klarna, so stay tuned!!
