Nope, not quite a new thing but we are letting you know about something that we already had and letting you know so that you can utilize it. Sort of like you been driving around in a Corolla and finding out that you have a jeep instead with a lot more features, functions and benefits.
We have just recently updated the registration process and added two new fields of “position preferred” and “player ratings”. These two fields do come in handy when a captain is looking to recruit players for particular positions on the field, especially if someone signs up as a goalie. It also comes in handy if a forward signs up and rates themselves as an “A” rated player in a B rated league. That will help the captain not place so much emphasis on player abilities if he has one or two good players. It could also work the other way around.
Your captain can also and always has had the capability to set up a printed roster or online roster for all team players where this information including contact information is viewable only by the team in case there is a need to reach out.
The league, is able to filter players via gender, position and player ability now in order to possibly fulfill captain’s request to complete a roster. In other words to just communicate directly to those needed players.
At this time, all MSL players , past and present can now login and update their profiles with a player rating and a preferred position.
