As MSL looks toward transitioning and positioning the league for growth and expansion, we have also made a commitment to better inform our players as well as give our players tools that will keep our participants engaged and wanting to continue to participate in future leagues. To do this we have to make it easy and provide easy access to registration, payments for registration, information about registration and scheduling as well other information that affects leagues such as weather and field availability.
This could be daunting to some league participants who have little or no computer experience or have developed a disdain for emails or solicitations via the internet. We are in the digital age and to be efficient, MSL has adopted and opted to use LeagueApps platform to manage it’s soccer leagues. LeagueApps platform offers quite a few benefits to both league administration and players as long as the platform is used properly, it has proven to be a crucial part of the successful launching and management of MSL leagues.
First, LeagueApps is an all inclusive league management platform that collects payments, manages payments, creates player accounts, creates and manages communications between league, admin, players, staff, and volunteers. It can handle not only leagues, but trainings and tournaments. LeagueApps main process to register a player is via email. This is an important part the process. The “email” is used to monitor the player/participant, keep track of leagues, payments, rosters, communications, credits, refunds, and waivers. Without an email for registration, essentially the player does not exist in the system and this could be a legal problem for the league should this player step onto the field to play a game. No player should ever step on the field without a waiver being signed.
Players who register via email will have created an account and once logged in have access to register for upcoming leagues, settings for notifications, and to review payments etc. Players can also see a message dashboard which will have league postings in case an email notification may have been missed. We highly encourage all league participants to change email settings to “subscribe” and to login perodically to check up on dashboard for league updates.
MSL is also creating video tutorials for those league players needing additional assistance with learning how to use league apps. We are very committed to ensuring that all players use the tools we provide to maximize their experiences.
